This features helps in creating new subjects or editing existing subjects with topics, activities & resources.
Khan Academy Content
Over 7000 videos & exercises of Khan Academy content are mapped to CBSE & ICSE curriculum for Math & Science Subjects. Teacher & Students can watch videos within the platform.
NCERT e-books
Students & Teachers can read and download all NCERT e-book content from right within the platform.
Homepage / Dashboard
Dashboard is a customisable page for providing users with links to their subjects and activities within them, such as unread forum posts and upcoming assignments.
Assignment
The assignment activity module enables a teacher to communicate tasks, collect work and provide grades and feedback.
Students can submit any digital content (files), such as word-processed documents, spreadsheets, images, or audio and video clips. Alternatively, or in addition, the assignment may require students to type text directly into the text editor.
Quiz
The Quiz activity module allows the teacher to design and build quizzes consisting of a large variety of Question types, including multiple choice, true-false, and short answer questions. These questions are kept in the Question bank and can be re-used in different quizzes.
Multimedia Support
Multimedia like images, videos, slides, etc can seamlessly added through the editor including embedding of external content from our websites like YouTube, Vimeo, Slideshare, Khan Academy, etc.
News Forum
The News forum is a special forum for general announcements. There is one news forum created at the site level & at each subject level. News Forum can be used for school level & grade level announcements. School administrator and teacher will have the ability to create announcements. Announcement are sent to all the students without exception through email in addition to being shown in the LMS.
Advanced Calendar
Calendar provides ability to create events at global, subject, group or user level based on user’s role & privilege.
Workshop
The workshop activity module enables the collection, review and peer assessment of students’ work.
Students can submit any digital content (files), such as word-processed documents or spreadsheets and can also type text directly into a field using the text editor.
Discussion Forum
The forum activity module enables participants to have asynchronous discussions i.e. discussions that take place over an extended period of time.
There are several forum types to choose from, such as a standard forum where anyone can start a new discussion at any time; a forum where each student can post exactly one discussion; or a question and answer forum where students must first post before being able to view other students’ posts. A teacher can allow files to be attached to forum posts. Attached images are displayed in the forum post. Participants can subscribe to a forum to receive notifications of new forum posts. A teacher can set the subscription mode to optional, forced or auto, or prevent subscription completely.
Surveys & Polls
The survey activity module provides a number of verified survey instruments that have been found useful in assessing and stimulating learning in online environments.
A teacher can use these to gather data from their students that will help them learn about their class and reflect on their own teaching.
Attendance
The attendance activity module enables a teacher to take attendance during class and students to view their own attendance record.
The teacher can create multiple sessions and can mark the attendance status as “Present”, “Absent”, “Late”, or “Excused” or modify the statuses to suit their needs.
Reports are available for the entire class or individual students.
Wiki
The wiki activity module enables participants to add and edit a collection of web pages. A wiki can be collaborative, with everyone being able to edit it, or individual, where everyone has their own wiki which only they can edit. Wiki can be used for group lecture notes or study guides, collaboratively author an online book, collaborative storytelling, etc
Private Files
In skoolbox, each user has a private files area for uploading and managing a set of files. Administrator will have the capability to enable/disable this features based on user type.
Mobile & Tablet
Skoolbox supports small screen form factors like tablets & mobiles by auto-adjusting the screen size & content. This enables teachers & students to access platform on any device in a user friendly manner.
Backup & Restore
This feature enables administrator backup entire site or specific subjects & also restore them if and when required. Teacher can also use this feature to reuse the subject content in the next academic year.
SCORM Support
Platform supports import for SCORM packages (Sharable Content Object Reference Model). This means teacher can import SCORM content directly into the respective subject without having to recreate it.
